Migrants

For one and a half years, director Bartosz Wróblewski and DOP Karol Sawicki have accompanied me and portrayed my work in one episode of their project Migrants. The documentary series shows how people from various cultural backgrounds contribute to creating a diverse and healthy society in Poland.

In the episode ANJA I’m sharing my personal story of loss, which guided my life into a new direction and led me to death education, grief work and ritual design. During the 34 minute long reportage you can see me facilitating an end-of-life care workshop for hospice volunteers and conducting a personal funeral ceremony in a private garden.

The series won the Best Production Award in the mid-length category at the Film Confrontations around NGOs 2025 in Nowa Dęba.

The production was also honoured with the Bronze Shield Award in the Business category as a good example of socially engaged entrepreneurship at the Responsible Films Festival “17 Goals” in Poznań.
